Festival Franco-Ontarien (June)
The Franco-Ontarian festival provides Francophones and Francophiles in the National Capital Region with a focus for gathering, enjoying themselves, welcoming the summer and celebrating Francophone culture. A varied program of music and song marked the 32nd festival in 2007. On the afternoon of Saturday, June 16, 2007, a huge parade celebrated Ontario’s French-speaking community. Lasting an hour and a half, it streamed through the streets of downtown Ottawa on its way to its location at Festival Plaza.
